Miteinander in Europa e.V.
Miteinander in Europa e.V. is based in Lüneburg. It was founded in 2012 and employs two staff members and additional volunteers with pedagogical and socio-pedagogical job descriptions. The aim of Miteinander in Europa e.V. is 'Together in Europe' and to promote the European idea by debates and social commitment. The focus is on the education and promotion of networking and learning ideas in all areas of life in the European community. MITEINANDER IN EUROPA stands for the European Values - especially democracy. An open, pluralistic and liberal democracy is currently not a matter of course. That is why MIE is particularly committed to democracy-building activities and tries to prevent radicalisation, especially into a radical right-wing movement.
For Miteinander in Europa e.V., remembrance of history is a prerequisite for the success of a free and democratic life in Europe. In regional terms, Miteinander in Europa e.V. works in close cooperation with the Hanseatic City of Lüneburg, the Democracy Research Centre at Leuphana University, the Adult Education Centre and the Museum Lüneburg. Miteinander in Europa e.V. is experienced in the implementation of European projects and was the coordinator of a network of cities until October 2019.
