UG "Klara and Rosa"
UG "Klara and Rosa" is engaged in the development and promotion of contemporary artistic practices in Serbia. Since its inception, the association has produced programs that involve the local community, artists and the general public. The main goals are animating and activating citizens, through culture and art, strengthening the artistic community and recognizing programs that enhance the quality of life and encourage active citizen participation. Against general lethargy, apathy, depression, national intolerance, conservatism, polarization and the strengthening of populist right-wing forces, the association fights to strengthen the role of art and culture in the local community, with the aim of consolidating cultural and social values as a whole. The UG Klara and Rosa contributes to the promotion of arts and culture through educational programs, citizen activation, professional development, production and content promotion, where it encourages experimental and interdisciplinary work and research. Through its programs, UG Klara and Rosa also advocates cooperation and exchange in the field of culture, networking and participation in both domestic and international projects, thus enhancing the visibility of its work and the values it represents, in a wider, regional and international context. The programs of the association are welcomed by all but our programs are mostly designed for young people because we believe that this is the target group that could make the biggest changes in society. This is an association that nurtures the urban spirit of Subotica. The founders of our organisation are artists.
